Fable Heroes part of Arcade NEXT!

Today the wonderful people at Xbox 360 Arcade made an announcement about Spring’s most anticipated Xbox LIVE Arcade games that are headed to your living room with “Arcade NEXT” from Microsoft Studios and Xbox LIVE. Read more to find out how Fable Heroes fits into this.

Starting on April 18th, a new downloadable title will launch on Xbox LIVE Arcade from Microsoft Studios every Wednesday, through May 9. Also, starting in April, all new Xbox LIVE Arcade games will include up to 400 Gamerscore, with up to 30 Achievements available to unlock.

Fable Heroes is part of this great line up and is being released on May 2nd for 800 Microsoft Points with 400 beautiful Gamerscore points up for grabs. Other titles in the line-up include Trials Evolutions, Bloodforge and Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition.

“Fable Heroes” is an action-packed, hack-and-slash adventure built for Xbox LIVE Arcade. It delivers a fresh spin on the “Fable” franchise with a unique art style and gameplay that takes playful competition to the next level.     Fable Heroese is really ridiculous. Lionhead wake up and announce Fable 4 and new AAA IP for 360 pad

      You have to face facts that Lionhead are going to be making Fable for a long time to come. It would be awesome to see a new IP but it probably wont happen for a while if ever. I’m just happy they are doing new things that stop the series from becoming completely stale, this looks really fun imo!

    One of the Achievements I saw on a video was ‘Traitor!’, which I believe is something along the lines of “Kill a Hobbe while in a Hobbe disguise”. 

    Also I think the achievement on the far-left of the second row will be something like “Unlock a new Hero”.

      Hmm. The red and blue achievements most likely separate nightmare and normal mode. Since gravestone is a place, they must be for the completion of locations.

        Quite a few of the blue and red achievements have blue and red versions, so I think they could be for different difficulties, or the other images for the remaining achievements haven’t been made yet and the reds are just double-ups.

          Anyway, we know Aurora is in, that must be the swirly thing. Gravestone should be gravestone, we’ve seen some hobbe cave level which should be the cave simbol.

            There’s also a Bowerstone symbol, and I remember seeing the market bridge on one of the gameplay videos. I’m guessing the mountain is mistpeak, and I think I saw Millfields on one of the videos too, so that could be the tree, perhaps.

            Millfields is the tree for sure. You can see it on one of the screenshots, if you look carefully. We’ve also seen a snowy region, and since there are houses in it it must be the snowspire. Either that, or Sabine has been expanding. Ofcource, it could also be something new like gravestone, or a region from Ftj(if gravestone isn’t)

    The achievement with the chicken and the bomb, I guess is something like: “Survive a whole round from the explosive chickens”

    Are you serious? I mean I understand milking Fable for all its worth, but your being battered around with Microsoft just pushing you into stuff, you may feel differently, but its very clear you no longer have the same creative ethos you had back when creating the original fable. I guess losing Peter Molyneux is also going to further push you deeper into Microsoft holding the reigns, shame, there was one point in my life I wanted to work for you guys. Kind of gone off the boil now.

      Wishes this was the one released with fable 3 =) maybe ill go back to that when i have finished heroes
