Fable Heroes

About Fable Heroes

“Fable Heroes” on Xbox LIVE Arcade is an action-packed hack-and-slash adventure set in the “Fable” universe, it is a fresh spin on the franchise, taking playful competition to the next level with four player co-op, time trials and leaderboards on Xbox LIVE. In “Fable Heroes” players work together to defeat enemies while also competing with each other to collect gold coins, which will level up their character and unlock unique items in “Fable: The Journey” when it launches later this year.

The project started out as part of our yearly Creative Day, a day where anyone from the studio can showcase an idea they have for a title. It was green-lit and a 5 person team started working on the title in early 2011

Says you, but I think it looks like a ton of fun, not to mention you get to play as Jack! :D Its getting plenty of praise from GameInformer and IGN, so I’ll take their word for it. It looks cute, fun, and well made. Keep up the good work Ted and LH!

All of the sites I’ve been looking at say TBA, not to mention LH hasn’t released a date either, so I dont think next May is accurate. It also says “later this year” not later next year.

He’ll show this and FTJ. I don’t see how he would be a laughing stock though. But it should be someone from the 5 man team who demos this anyway.

GDC isn’t meant to be a place for game announcements, but stuff might be shown in hotel rooms etc.

LIonhead my fave dev as a kid, you have finally hit a new low. I dont know if its microsofts fetish with kinect thats killing you or that Peter finally found out he is a woman. I am honestly not suprised that some of ur devs left to make a new studio.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000114830637 Hedvig Räf

So…a woman couldn’t make a good game? Is that what you’re saying?

  • Kexio

Why do Lionhead go farther and farther away from the original Fable, I think we fans have made it pretty clear that’s the one we liked best? Instead of trying new ideas again and again, why don’t you develop a remake of the lost chapters? No puppets, no kinect, no spellgloves and a villain that you actually care about defeating.
Just update the graphics and throw in some more quests, equipment and abilities and you’ve got a great game, that I garuantee will both better please your fans, and sell much more that puppets or any rail-fps could.
Btw, the spell system in the original Fable was awesome, it’s sucked ever since.

      can’t help but agree

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Alex-LeFevre/1275507423 Alex LeFevre

This is right on, I completely agree.  And whats with this whole Fable the Journey and this Fable Heroes.  Should have been working on Fable 4 and making it up to date with todays graphic and what not, while getting back to the preferred Fable game play like in number 1.  Number one had the best spell system and it is absolutely true that is has been getting worse.  Fable 2 was great other than the fact the ending did not feel very satisfying since Lucian didn’t even put up a fight after he was getting all powered up from the other heroes.  And Fable 3 did a much better job with amassing an army and taking the crown while getting to rule Albion and then having an epic fight at the end against the Destroyer.  However the I personally didn’t like the goofy magic changing weapons in 3.  But the weapons in Fable 2 were much more enjoyable and seemed more natural.  As one of you many many fans I ask that you please just look at what your fans are saying and try to give them more of what they want.  Btw, can’t wait for Fable 4 should there ever be one.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Maxwell-Kormansek/570575277 Maxwell Kormansek

I actually rather hated the final boss (Which was actually ‘The Crawler’). I mean the whole possessing Walter thing was a good start; but it ending there was pretty weak sauce. They could have amped it up a little more. Still, it was a vast improvement on the the severe lack of final conflict in Fable 2. What the next Fable needs is the final conflict and spells of Fable the Lost Chronicles, the adventure of Fable 2 (I consider it the best thus far.), and the drive of Fable 3.

That aside, I don’t blame them for this one. This is just supposed to be a fun little side thing to their next “big” game. A way to waste some time and gain extra stuff when you go back to the “real” story. It delivers what it promises from the look of things. Though hopefully they’ll add one or two extra little “hero dolls” beyond the ones shown. Cause well…who here wouldn’t mind running around that game as Scythe?

        • http://www.facebook.com/people/Corwin-Dentry/506640188 Corwin Dentry

I think that if Fable the Lost Chapters was released now with modern graphics and AI as a new game it would not stand up to modern expectations. However I agree with the above post that the number four needs to be a combination of the first three.

Number one had the best feel to it. In my opinion it was also the best setting for a fable game, no weird steampunk esque technology, No huge sprawling cities, it felt like what it was supposed to be, a fable.

Number two had the best story in my opinion, the villain had real motivations, and actually acted like a villain. Though I do agree that it did probably need a better final confrontation.

Number three was in my opinion a waste of time, the engine was fine, but the story was terrible. You spend the entire game raising a rebellion under your brother’s nose (who I may add had already shown that he was willing to kill anyone to further his motive) disrupting his plans etc and he doesn’t even lift a finger. Considering you have to run for your life at the beginning of the game I find it a bit odd that he lets you wander through the capital buying properties and showing off to the locals without trying to arrest you. You spend the first half of the game as an outlaw and the game really did a terrible job of getting that across. Then at the end you discover that your brother really wasn’t a villain after all, (we’ll just forget about all those people he left destitute, or starved to death) the villain isn’t actually your brother who at least had a bit of depth, it’s the crawler a one dimensional character who is effectively the embodiment of the darkness, and he wants to destroy the world, for some reason. I admit the scenes with the crawler were cool, what with the whole desert sequence and such, but if they really wanted to make the crawler the villain of the game they should have had you deal with your brother way earlier (like in act one), and then they should have gone into deeper detail as to who/what the crawler really was, where it came from and why it was doing what it was doing.

Also, if the properties you buy are going to degrade over time, they should actually appear to degrade in the game, even if its just three different looks, one for totally fixed up, one for run down, and another for falling down.

The dog, and the whole inventory hub area need to go away, the dog is a neat idea but it gets really tedious after a while when all it does is bark at you so you can dig up garbage items, and the inventory hub was a neat idea on paper but was just tedious when actually in the game.

I personally would much rather see Lionhead working on Fable 4 (without Molleneux) than a bunch of arcady titles set in the fable universe that will likely fall flat on their faces upon release day. I don’t know about you but everyone I know, including the long term fable fans have less than zero percent interest in Journeys, and this game just looks like a game aimed at small children to me.

You’re an idiot, and anyone who says that LH is going the wrong direction is also stupid. LH is free to pursue whatever new adaptations and quirks they want to, and realistically what you have to say will most likely change… nothing. LH was attempting to produce a more organic feel in the 3rd title. With less “game” feel it was an attempt to make the player feel more immersed in the world of Fable. They are a successful company and have produced many great titles. Have people simply forgotten about the B&W franchise? Did those games have quirks when they moved to a new title? You bet. So shut your mouths and let the professionals do their jobs.

        • http://www.facebook.com/people/Danny-Akenson/100002998812419 Danny Akenson

Many great titles? As far as I know, they’ve only made Fable games for the past 6 years.

          • http://profile.yahoo.com/SBLIXIINV253U3PI62VRFQJBZY Doug

Wasn’t talking about Fable… talking about Black & White. Fine reading skills by the way.
“Have people simply forgotten about the B&W franchise?”

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=546032217 Catherine Howell

TLC is my least favorite Fable title, it was the most boring and facile, and I’m pleased that the franchise is moving away from it.  I enjoy how LH is trying to be innovative and still in the Fable universe.  Why do people want to play the same game over and over again?

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Danny-Akenson/100002998812419 Danny Akenson

If you think TLC was boring and the rest are better, then you’re not a real Fable fan. Fable is an RPG not a shooter. And they need to get rid of the guns and stop going forward in time so fast. The Crawler was one of the most unoriginal boss fights I’ve ever fought. An evil guy who makes one of your friends evil.  Then, you kill your friend. Yay. The end.

        • http://twitter.com/King_Eggbert Eggbert Beauregard

The notion of a “Real Fable fan” is ridiculous (And attempts to be elitist). Games are personal preference, just like movies and music. If she likes any Fable, then she is Fable fan.

Also, Fable has never been a hardcore RGP, it’s and action-adventure with RPG elements.

          • http://twitter.com/TerrenceHawke Joe Somebody

Fable 1 was an RPG with Action Adventure elements. Then they changed it and butchered the story. I really don’t mind them wandering from the RPG element as much, but the stories are god awful after Fable TLC.

a fable fan yes… but a true fable fan no

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Sara-Bourbeau/100003700616195 Sara Bourbeau

To tell someone that they aren’t a “true fan” based on which game they liked the least is ridiculous. You liked the first game the most, well congratuwelldone, aren’t you a special snowflake.  Have a biscuit and go sit in the corner, would you. No one is forcing you to play The Journey, or Fable Heroes. You can go hop on your xbox and play TLC forever if that’s what makes you happiest.
Am I not a real Beatles fan because I enjoy some of their later works over their earlier?
You elitist morons can fight over the definition of “fan” all you like, but in the end, you’re just dancing about with your heads up your arse.

            fan    [fan]
noun an enthusiastic devotee, follower, or admirer of a sport, pastime, celebrity.

There, perhaps that will help you.
It doesn’t matter how pretty that little cardboard crown on your head is, you will always-get this-meet people with different opinions than you. Crazy! Ludicrous! How could that be? Someone having a different opinion than me?? What is this nonsense? Off with their heads! Post haste!

There are elements of each game that I like, and some that I like less.
Personally, I didn’t much care for TLC. Ooooh, not-a-real-fan right here! Maybe it’s because I played the second game first, but regardless, I did play it, and I enjoyed it, just not as much. Liking the original doesn’t make you better than everyone else.
But hey, if you need that ego boost, who’s going to stop you?

          • http://twitter.com/empireofderp nej

I agree so much! I’ve been a Fable fan from the start, since I have been a follower of Lionhead (I have all the games!). I love all the titles so much, but TLC is probably my least favourite, and somehow that makes me less of a fan? No, it’s personal preference.
Why can’t Lionhead make a spin-off like this, aimed at families, and smaller children? They are broadning their horizon, and if you don’t like it, don’t play it! At least it means we could potentially get more fans into the series ready for Fable 4!
I, myself, have bought Fable Heroes and actually really enjoy it, despite me being 21! :P

        • http://www.facebook.com/james.simpkin James Simpkin

The original fable was my favorite, but I don’t think you can say that  means
          she’s not a fan. That’
s the kind of narrow minded mentality that kills a
series. Even if 1 is my favorite I think that its great they haven’t let fable
stagnate. if you released fable 1 now if no one had ever played it before with upped graphics it would do terribly. Just because we enjoyed it back thn wouldn’t mean people would enjoy it now! Any successful franchise needs to branch out and find what works and what doesn’t. Give it a few years for them to play the field, then expect your masterpiece. I love the fable world, and I think it deserves it from us the fans to see every aspect of the world, not just the main bloodline of the mainstream titles.

“FABEL 4-the new Heroes age”(titolo provvisorio)

Thanks for being an elitist jerk. Fable 1 was okay. I though 2 was a lot better. I’ll admit I would have preferred more than to kill an old man, but I digress.
Its all a matter of preference. I didn’t care for TLC either. It was utterly boring. And Heroes and Journey, are probably just something to hold the fans over until a Fable 4 comes out.

I’ve often wondered that myself (why on earth people want to play the exact same game over and over again).  I would rather have Lionhead try new things (even if it turns out those new things are not for me) than just do the exact same thing over and over with updated graphics and what amounts to some new dlc quests and gear.  That isn’t a new game, that just dlc.  That just seems lazy to me.

I’m a bit baffled by the Kinect gripes as well.  Hasn’t Lionhead said repeatedly that Journey is NOT the next game in the main series?

To Kexio – the first Fable isn’t my favorite either.  I played TLC and liked it, but that was after I had been playing other newer games for years, including the second Fable.  People kept saying I just *had* to play the first game, so I picked it up.  Maybe when the first Fable came out it was groundbreaking, but the best I can say is that I liked it – I didn’t fall in love with it.  I don’t understand the vehement animosity some people have towards the 2nd and 3rd games. There are elements of all 3 Fable games that I dislike, but there is much more that I DO like (in particular – Stephen Fry and John Cleese?…why wouldn’t I like that?)  I definitely don’t feel the need to trash an entire series because I don’t think the games are perfect, though.

Also enjoyed listening to the characters in the 3rd game and catching the fan gripes that were turned into npc dialogue.  I hope the people who work at LH have some way to alleviate stress caused by gamer-geek whining.

Boring and facile? I’m sorry, you were supposed to play the game not stare at the box it came in.

      • http://www.facebook.com/mjthereaper Mitchael Jorgensen

i’m sorry but this girl is not a fable fan, and it’s not because she likes the other ones better… it’s because she called the first one WITH THE BEST DLC “the most boring and facile” AND ADDED “and I’m pleased that the franchise is moving away from it” but as if that was bad, she added at the end “ Why do people want to play the same game over and over again?” bitch, without the first Fable, 2, 3, F:TJ and FH would have never been invented, plus it had only the best superhero RPG story ever!!! and Jack of blades? that guy’s like Hannibal Lecter with more of a fucking twist in his soul, and the original pub games? what’s not to love? so if you think that the first one (which invented the series mind you) was Boring and facile, then you are of a small 0.5% of true fable fans, because 99.5% of us, prefer the original to the rest

to the rest however three wasn’t actually too bad, i mean it could have been better but i have seen worse games and bad guys, i personally thing F: TJ was the worst but only for it’s kinda kid aspect, the only cool feature about it was the fact that with a Kinect you can weave your own spells, that was it’s only really good feature, but if they re-made Fable TLC and added that in as a bonus, then Fable would just be the best <3

Fable 2 would be my worst next for many reasons, the story wasn't that good… it had a few really stupid bugs 'E.G. the furniture shop eventually ran out of furniture to sell'… they took out the cool clothing and armor and finally the last boss was the worst boss in gaming history, i mean you didn't even have to hit, shoot or do anything because eventually Reaver would shoot him for you, which is a stupid thing seeming as where the fuck did Reaver get  that gun because i'm pretty sure that Lucien would have disarmed him and the rest before-hand, leaving the only two people to be able to hurt or kill him are yourself and Garth because you can't disarm magic (although quote me if i'm wrong but i'm pretty sure the tower nullified most of the magic anyone can cast that wasn't spire magic :S)

so yeah, my final thing is that you're not a true fable fan, and therefore you should never claim so until you understand the true value of Fable and it's expansion The Lost Chapters, thank  you :)

My lord, I loved TLC, I played it dozens of times. But The other games were just too soft and didn’T leave you feeling like your character had grown as much as in the first game. In the second game, they just suppose that we were emotionally invested because we were a kid, then a teen and then an adult, that we got to see the character grow, but they didn’T seem to understand that the growth that made us invested was the quest to avenge your family’s death throughout those years. Sure other things happen in the other games that tried to get you invested, but nothing really ever packed the same punch as being a part of a joyful community with your family, and then seeing the entire village burned to the ground. Having to try to find loved ones who have died. I could go on and on about the second, third, journey and this load. But I don’t want to because they aren’t worth the time to discuss. I’ll keep it short then. Fable one was an extremely good game. Fable 2 was a terribly dissapointing game. Fable 3 tried to improve the series, but it ended up only being better than the second. Journey is just nonsense, having a random commoner able to use will. and this game seems to be another one of these sequels.

the lost chapters was the best period

    • Colli3

Agreed. The quests, the guild, the leveling, the characters, armor, weapons, secrets, lore, lands, monsters, and a storyline that made me feel like a real hero, fighting alongside other heroes and becoming the best there ever was.

all missing, or marginalized since the first one.

    • http://www.facebook.com/normnwalker Norm Walker

Your right dude. Why would u limit a new fable game to just Kinect or have little dolls go around slashing things when all we want as player and fans to feel like we are playing fable. Not some new experiment but a game that stays true to fable and has a story worth playing with a villain that doesn’t die in one blow.

    • http://www.facebook.com/TwilightRevolution Eric Trocola

I have played the first fable probably 10 times at least from start to end and i would probably do it 10 more but i have never played 2 or 3 more than once and i dont even plan to buy the new one coming out.I agree with kexio on everything. All they would have to do is go back to the original fable play style even if it is with a new story. The guns ruined melee because melee could be blocked and guns couldn’t so what is even the point and there were only 2 weapon types to chose from which was boring, and magic too far too long to cast anything powerful so it also made it quite pointless.
The third game also killed the good and evil aspect because it was barely even noticeably different till you got the wings which weren’t even unlocked till the game was pretty much over and could only been seen after a charged attack.
My personal opinion is if you want to sell more then go back to the original play style and if you want to make things different at least just give it a different name!

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001153217207 Justin Barsalou

I actually liked the Gauntlets, I know what you mean, but it’s just a statement I wanted to voice out, I would like a lot of things.

We need a lot of the spells back, Take out the road to rule, I hate it, add XP back. Give back menus for buying stuff, and keep the sanctuary, but make so you could choose between it(I like the sanctuary, don’t ask me why). Don’t make the game so damn linear, and add some of the villages back! I hate that towns have just been wiped off the map… for NO apparent reason, here’s a little list, Oakfield, Westcliff, Brightwood(Although not a village, it was wiped off the map), Bloodstone, Knothole Island(WTF I want to see Knothole Island again!), Snowspire, annnd Hook Coast. Give a reason, also make the game more… open world? I know this isn’t how Fable Started, but the linearity is a huge design flaw, I don’t mean it has to be like Fallout or Skyrim, but maybe like Legend of Zelda, it is separated in parts like Zelda, but you can get to places in different ways.

There are a lot of things that can be done. But I am not quite certain if anyone would be willing to listen to me… whatever.

    • joshua halcott

really they don’t even have to do that. if they would simply stick to the idea of the first one and the actual game play in the original and maybe make a new story about Theresa or how Jack of Blades came to be, you would have a new story line and the wonderful things about the first fable instead of some half thought idea to try and bring in more money. since they cant figure out why they keep loosing money with each game for fable they come out with. Its a simple and easy way to keep it working. and i agree completely that the spell system has sucked pretty much after the first game. the original is the only one they got it right in.  where there was a great selection and it was easy to use. maybe if Lionhead actually reads this comments we could get a better game.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Adam-Wallace/711796824 Adam Wallace

Please listen to this guy Lionhead! Now that Peter Molenuex (or however you spell it) is gone you can go back to making good games! Go back to how fable was, that was why we loved it. We don’t want you to keep changing everything, go back to the old magic system and bring back multiple heroes in the world. Sure, it wasn’t an original setting but it was done so well that it stood out above the rest. Now Fable stands out for the wrong reasons. The Industrial revolution was an original setting but it’s not what fable should be about. Why not set the next one between TLC and Fable 2. That would be amazing, to see Lady Grey being hunted by witchspotters and to find out where the hell Scythe went! And maybe where Rose was going to, maybe tell us more about the Void? Just get back to the lore and the fantasy setting, it’s why fable was great and moving away from it is why Fable is failing.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/WLOYSVYVWQHTFW2NFBZMJ74EDM Cody Carlton

I for sure will agree that Fable 1 was by far my favorite. It was mostly the guns that killed it for me after that, and the fact that in 2 and 3 there was less physical changes when u went bad or good. I loved fable 1 because i like the idea of being a great warrior with sweet armor and all that stuff, in 2 and 3, that stuff was less and less, and once the 3rd game came out, i just couldnt play it because i didnt feel like a great warrior anymore, it seemed more boring to me. Just running around slashing a sword and shooting ur musket. and i think the spell system sucked after the 1st fable too.

  • RagdollHero

This looks like a very fun game. And I really love the idea they used the hero dolls as the playable characters. Seems like a perfect fit for this art style. Cannot wait to play it.

oh cannot wait. I love all the incarnations of fable and love sharing them with my family and friends.

  • ChaosMorning

Sigh… You know what, I generally didn’t like Fable and Fable: The Lost Chapters.  I’m not saying I this looks that much better–it looks alright, but I’m not one for co-op stuff–but I would never want the franchise to go back to the way it was. I hated Fable/TLC’s spell system, graphics, a lot of its plot…   I may give this a try at some point, never know.

  • Kexio

I’m not saying this looks bad either, nor do FTJ, I’m saying it’s no longer Fable. Fable used to be an awesome rpg where the focus was; “Should I be bad or good”, also that you could alter your character with everything from body size to apparel. FTJ is a first person shooter, you won’t even see your own character. I’m not saying FTJ will be a bad game, it looks really cool to fling spells in the trailer, and I’ll probably buy when it is released, what I am saying is that it’s no longer the 3rd person action rpg we bought and loved so many years ago, and that’s a shame.

Well i for one cant wait for this game nor Fable: the journey. Thanks Lionhead for bringing back who appears to be Jack of blades and his sword, i cant wait to kill things and play jack. Keep up the good work:)

  • agfan1

I like the video.  I would like to know if there are any plans to bring this to the PC platform.  I would also encourage the development team to look at Diablo 3, Torchlight 1/2, Titan Quest and the original Dungeon Siege for inspiration of how to make a good hack and slash.  My first criticism of the game is that it seems too cartoony so far.  Deep skill systems and deep dungeons are what sets the good games apart from the copycats.  Loot systems also play a huge part.  A first time player should not be able to come in and get the rarest items in the game playing the first time.

I am very interested in this game but I don’t use the xbox 360.  I would like to encourage the team to bring this to PC platform as a worthy contender to Torchlight and other games of this type

That’s because FTJ is a “Spin off” and not a core Fable. You can tell by the way it’s not named Fable 4.

  • GMCDM

Wow, I am shocked to see how many people continually bash LH for being innovative.  For all of the people complaining about where the Fable franchise is going, if you don’t like it, no one is forcing you to play their games.  Why would they remake the same game 3 times just to upgrade graphics to please you?  What LH is doing is expanding the Fable universe and doing their “spin-offs” of the core game to appeal to the customers who may not like the full games but would enjoy using the kinect interface and running around playing a Fable hack-n-slash.  I’m not trying to troll, bash, or flame anyone in particular.  I just feel that LH can’t even consider that they have a fan base, just a bunch of people who complain about how every game they make isn’t the original.  Again, I greatly applaud LH and their continuous effort to expand their franchises and to appeal their games to every type of gamer.

  • FableTLCfan

The original fable/TLC was awesome. A remake of the Lost Chapters would defiantly make me forget about how disappointed I was about how the other fables turned out. Fable 2 was ok but 3 just cut it right there.  Fable 3 makes it feel like you guys just slapped a whole bunch of crap together to make a game. And one thing that disappoints me is the STORY LINE and GAMEPLAY! The graphs look pretty good It looks like you spent more time on the graphs than the gameplay layout. And that’s not what a game is about. They gameplay and story line is the most important. If Molyneux is still planning on making the greatest RPG of all time hes far from it. Because there are more disappointed fans than there are fans. Listen to the Fans!

    • GMCDM

Exactly, It’s not like they even have fans the way I see many people talk about them.  Just play the games that you like and support them, but don’t trash talk all of their other games because it’s not the type of game that you like.

      • FableTLCfan

I wasn’t trash talking. I was stating my opinion.

        • GMCDM

I know, I never said that you weren’t expressing your opinion. I simply stated that I see many people trash talking their games because they aren’t like the first one, and I’m glad. I loved all of the Fable games, but I would not like them to remake it 3 times just for improved graphics and a few new quests. I personally love that they are expanding the fable name into other genres and appealing to all forms of gamers.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jeremiah-Fuller/561437181 Jeremiah Fuller

what the hell is this garbage. Yes lets go from touchy subjects like slave labor and genuinely good gameplay (my opinion get over it well from fable 1 and 2, 3 was ok but meh). Fable had alot going for it. The gameplay should of evolved not devolve into hand holding. You guys can make OTHER STUFF AND NOT CALL IT FABLE. I understand trying to use the brand name like an abused prostitute but you have to be honest here this game is only for earning money off a franchise name. No sane person would have a game series discuss child labor open homosexuality(good ground showing their universe considers it not taboo) and other subjects then slap a child happy piss fest like this or my personal favorite a rail shooter…..ala fable the journey

    • GMCDM

You sir need to calm down.  Why are you complaining about them expanding their franchise towards other gamers?

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/SSAKKJDFRYXLKBGLEOIA6Y7RSA Ben Bernstein

watch several random videos after the original fable heroes and then read the comments and was like damn all those comments are right come on lion head frozen t shirt contest really not a real fable

ps be happy fables fun and if ur looking for a hardcore rpg don’t look to lion head

  • Patrick Conlon

Truly embarrassing, Lionhead. You’re better than this.

  • mrhabbman

This is not really an official fable part but how the journey is a spin off what a party game and Yes what stimulates you you?
I found Fable 1 not good and?
That’s very different than this rpgs
something more for the younger times what

  • Kexio

Then how about we make a vote of what game we liked best and compile a list of desired features in a future game? Then LH can see how they can please as many fans as possible and we might get a Fable game that doesn’t disappoint as many?

    • GMCDM

Because this would be a bias vote. Just for example lets say people (the younger group of fans) don’t come to this site, or even the people who may love this game don’t have internet. For another example, when a company holds a survey (or accepts comments) the people who are most likely to put their word out have strong negative feelings. For a third examples, I loved the first 3 fables but from what I’ve seen of these other two fable games I think I will enjoy these as well, and holding a survey to only select one type of game for a company to make is ridiculous.

      • Kexio

I’m not saying LH should only produce one kind of game, I haven’t criticised any other LH game, have I? I’m just saying that it’s confusing for those who’ve played and loved the three first Fables to create not one, but two, new games that have no resemblence whatsoever to the gameplay of the original franchise. I’m not saying they shouldn’t make a rail FPS or a dungeon hack n’ slash, I’m saying they shouldn’t name it Fable. That is just selling out.

        • GMCDM

That’s like saying Nike should only produce shoes, but they don’t. They expand their franchise through all types of apparel, equipment, and products. To limit themselves to one type of game per franchise would be stupid. For a game example, EA has many sports games. Not all of them are “pro” NFL, NBA, etc. They also make “street” versions to appeal to other gamers.

          • Kexio

It is not. In that metaphor LH would be Nike, not Fable, and as aforementioned I have no problem with LH expanding their market in general. I wouldn’t be bothered by them releasing a rail shooter or hack n’ slash as long as they didn’t abuse Fable’s good name just to sell more. The thing is they’re not listening to the majority of their fans. Most people loved Fable TLC and thinks the series has gotten less and less good with each game, and still we’ve bought every new game in the hopes of a more original game. And sure, this might be mostly because of Peter Molyneux(?) who always promises things he can’t honor. But even so, what LH is doing when naming a game like this Fable is trading the loyal fans for a younger public.

          • Kexio

And btw, everyone can access internet in school, work or at a friend’s house, and if you chose not to name your desires, one can’t be mad when the final game isn’t what you wished for. Is LH supposed to guess what we want?

          • GMCDM

First, it was a simile not a metaphor. Second, I do agree with you at the end.  Yes, he did promise us his wonderful vision of games, but even though Peter Molyneux didn’t get everything he wanted into these beginning games doesn’t mean that he isn’t working on them for any of his other games. While you are right that people can access the internet from school and work, many schools block a lot of websites and depending where one works it may be against policy to use his or her work computer for anything other than work.  Instead of playing a game of “what ifs” I will just conclude that you are right and many can access the internet.  Still not everyone visits this website, just for an example I also like Bioware’s games, but I don’t visit their website. It also seems very unlikely that we could funnel all of LH’s fans to this site for a vote that would still come to bias, because what about the fans that will highly enjoy these two upcoming games and may be too young to come to this site and vote?  They will easily be out-numbered by the “hardcore” gamers.  Does that mean that LH should turn their heads away from them?  No, while I understand that not everyone can be pleased and especially not all at once, I personally am glad that LH is continuing to engage every aspect of the gaming community.

          • Kexio

I see your point. But yet again, one can’t complain that a game didn’t turn out as one wished if one haven’t engaged and tried to influence. About the younger gamers, there are plenty of developers that only produce games for a younger audience, and I don’t see why LH would try to compete with them rather then focusing on the Fable title that would please their current audience. For example, I bet a lot more people are longing for Fable 4 than FTJ or Fable Heroes. Regardless, I just installed my kinect-camera, and it worked surprisingly well, so even if I think LH should focus on a action-rpg like the majority of the fans want, I’m not as skeptical anymore. If you like Bioware, good luck in ME3 tomorrow :)

          • GMCDM

It’s not about them not wanting to vote but if one couldn’t vote, and even after the results they shouldn’t throw out all other ideas except the “hardcore” Fable series.  This is all about LH reaching out to a different type of gaming community and for them to expand upon the Fable universe.  It’s just like Rare, they created Conker’s Bad Fur Day, but is also in charge of the xbox LIVE avatars and creating games such as kinect sports. Congratulations on your kinect, I hope that you enjoy it.  Also, Mass Effect 3 came out yesterday.

          • Kexio

I don’t mind if LH wants to reach a wider audience, just hink Fable should stay Fable.  ME3 is released tomorrow in Sweden.

          • GMCDM

That’s why I made my Mario example earlier, one series doesn’t have to be limited to one genre.  Do you plan on getting it?

          • Kexio

True, but it’s harder to convert an rpg with a rather complex story then a side-scrolling platformer where the story goes; “save the princess and beat the evil turtle”, inte another genre. Yep, pre-ordered like a year ago.

          • GMCDM

Ok, the game isn’t out yet so we don’t know if it will be a success or not.  From what I have seen of the two, I think that they will be great games.  Nice, I think that you will enjoy it VERY much!

        • http://www.facebook.com/people/Mick-Mickey-Mickers-Myers/100000901211251 Mick Mickey Mickers Myers

This makes complete sense. Having an option to submit the best features of each game, and build something off of that, would be the best way to make a new Fable game. I would have a story written like the first (the only one I gave two shits about), combat like the second (a nice blend of distance and melee), the magic skill building of the first, the interactive world & side quests of the third, the time period of the first (to me, it was the most immersing) and the expansiveness of Lost Chapters, because having the option to explore a whole second region and have a greater variety of enemies was probably their best decision ever.

        • GMCDM

Mario, he isn’t just a platformer, he is in racing games, party games, sport games, and even fighting games.  None of which resemble his original gameplay but all giant successes.  Is he selling out?  No, millions of people love Mario and everything he has been in.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Heather-Greene/100000048293525 Heather Greene

I think this looks adorable :) If you don’t like the decisions that Lionhead is making in their new games then don’t play them, it doesn’t make you any less of a fan.  Everyone has their personal preferences to a certain game in the series and it’s silly to say that liking or not liking a certain game doesn’t make you a fan. If you don’t think you’ll like this game then don’t play it, if you like the older games then keep playing them.

Personally I think this looks really fun and adorable, I really like the idea of being able to play as other heroes. It’s also really nice to see Garth and Hannah making a bit of a come-back, even if they are just dolls. I’m excited for this game :)

  • Aaron Benwell

I’m really  looking forward to Fable: the Journey and I’m glad that LionHead are trying out new things with the fable franchise. This mini game Fable Heros looks like So much fun! It also seems a good idea to link this to the new game. Fable 1 was a brilliant game, as other people have stated, however to keep it as that would be ridiculous and everyone would complain it is repetitive. give it a chance guys, it looks like fun.

I was wondering when we’re going to see a reimagining of Black & White for the Xbox 360. With Kinect, the technology seems to be there for what was promised in the original game as far as interacting with the world goes. With the addition of voice recognition, Black & White could have a new generation of fans.

I’ve been with you off and on since some of you were part of Bullfrog years ago. Humor was a part of your games then and I hope that you never lose that.

  • http://twitter.com/Orakaius Thomas Langton

Looks alot like Castle Crashers I might actually get this LH game. :P

  • ClaireyWairey

I will not be playing this. I’m not saying it’s bad but it’s just not my scene. I hope that they make a Fable 4 and Lionhead triumph over their haters so i can then stop defending their really bad decisions!

    • GMCDM

How is expanding their franchise a bad decision?

      • ClaireyWairey

Because they need to be concentrating on Fable 4 and making it the best game it can be so more people will play it instead of weak spinoffs giving Fable a bad name. That’s my opinion.

        • GMCDM

These Fable games haven’t been released yet so there is no telling how they will turn out, so calling them weak is a tad harsh at the moment seeing as in we have no solid evidence on the games turn out.  Not to say that they aren’t hard at work on the fourth game, but expanding the Fable universe and making the most out of their franchise is an excellent decision on their part (in my opinion).  However, when (if they already aren’t) working on Fable IV (and other games) I personally believe that they will continue the game’s excellent quality and innovation throughout the rest of the series, all of the Fable universe, and any game that they create.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100003464555343 David Smith

this will probably the First Lionhead game that I don’t buy :/

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Mick-Mickey-Mickers-Myers/100000901211251 Mick Mickey Mickers Myers

Why is this not on PC? I understand fable was originally on the X-Box, I owned it on there, but now that you have expanded to the PC community, why not offer them this support as well? The more Fable “expands” and “grows” the more of a copy/paste game just like everything else out there it becomes.
The original stood out, made a name for itself, created a following (obviously, or we wouldn’t be 4 game into the series). Why not make something more like the original? There was so much room to expand on that universe. Albion was but one area, why not introduce more like Lost Chapters did? Why throw away something that worked and stood apart from everything else, for a game that is nothing more than another linear shooter? Seems counter-productive.

    • GMCDM

What is Aurora? An area outside of Albion. They continue to expand the Fable universe.

  • ClaireyWairey

Why have my comments been removed? They weren’t offensive and had no foul language!

I partially agree with Kexio here (follow up parts could use some innovation tho). The storyline, characters and athmosphere of TLC got me all excited for the series. But unfortunately they took a different approach for the sequals. Instead of creating a way too easy adventure game they should have builded upon the rpg elements of TLC. Games don’t need to be mainstream and accessible in order to succeed, take a look at Skyrim and how that turned out. There are still lots and lots of people that prefer to be challanged in a game instead of just rolling trough it without countering any challange.

Its a shame that this is the path the studio has token, farewell Lionhead…

  • thaddias price-bramble

i dunno why some people ar esaying lion head is moving away from the original fable because i think they are being successful at expanding the universe for us :) these games are here for fun and to help feel closer to the world of fable and i can see ur point about more serious gaming but they do that with the main games in the series not these side story ones :) cheer up guys :)

You can’t really be that happy.  He is still the one that created Fable, Black & White, The Movies, and many other great games.

  • Offworlder1

Wow this series just keeps going down the crapper with each and every sequel, “Fable:The Lost Chapters” was the best one, its the one most fans LOVED for the story, characters, art style, and how they told the story.

“Tales of Albion” was a good set up and by far a better story then Fable 2 completely as it envoked emotion not “thats it ?” which Fable 2 and 3 did.

Lionhead make another game in the Fable 1 time line, a good game not this BS that Fable 2 and 3 are where heroes are all dead, weak as hell, or annoying as hell but the player can’t kill them as a choice (Fable 1 allowed other heroes to be killed by the player) yet we can’t kill Hammer or Reaver.

  • http://twitter.com/BlackRaven117 Robert Petrick

I swear, If anything, I am getting this game solely for Jack of Blades.

  • Liam Black

I think this looks like a good laugh! Why are people so serious about every game they play?I

This looks like well designed, colourful, light hearted fun (judging from the trailer). The graphics are up to par and it seems to ooze charm (which is something all Fable games have done successfully). I like the cartoon style of this…Fable has always had that tongue-in-cheek sense of humour.

Looks like a good xbla title and I will definitely give this a bash.

  • http://twitter.com/PigeonJumper SKPowell

This looks cool – I’ll give it a go for sure. Nice to see some innovation going on within the franchise – I love all the Fable stuff to date and I’m sure this game won’t be any different. Great job! Looking forward to playing it :D

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Heather-Cline/1183121704 Heather Cline

I tried playing Fable TLC but couldn’t get past the fact you had to play as a guy and that the super deformed head of your character who looked like some freak of nature really turned me off. In Fable 2 and 3 they did some innovative stuff and I enjoyed both games. I just wish they’d patch Fable 3 to fix the broken stuff that is broken. Also stating that someone isn’t a fan just because they don’t like the first game is wrong. That’s just being elitist and really annoying. It’s the whole PC vs Console wars. Saying that PC is better doesn’t make it true. It just makes you look like a snob.

As for the new game, looks interesting. Not a fan of the Fable the Journey coming out cause I don’t have Kinect and it’s in First Person view and I prefer Third person view for my games. Still to those wanting Fable the Journey all the power to you.

  • http://www.facebook.com/jeremiah.stlouis Jeremiah St Louis

I compleatly agree with Kexio. I mean im still playing TLC. You cannot beat that game, I think the fans want the heart of fable tlc, the mind of fable 2 and the body of fable 3. We want a playable RPG that we cannot put down, guns are fun and all but the satisfaction that you get out of bows and arrows just goes not come into games anymore. I really hope you guys realize that the money isnt just in the fist week of the game but the lifetime of it.

look i think that the 1st fable…and its later update the lost chapters…..were the best of the franchise but i do like to see the series move forward in time…what i dont like is that loss of the original plot….at this point the only things that are even similar to the original is teresa and the name of the continent….i mean they do make little reverences like the old bridge from the original heros home village and the bowerstone clock tower but i personally dont think thats far enough….they left so many stories and possibilities open in the original and i personally think its a tragety that they didnt fallow through with those in the 2nd and 3rd…and as for the next game for the kenet im not even going  to buy…i just hope thats not suppose to be fable 4 otherwise i may lose all interest in this series….the 1st was captivating and full of story…the 2nd had new mechanic and better graphics and was pretty fun but no where near the 1st….the 3rd…again new mechanics and better graphics….i think that videos in the 3rd were an amazing improvement from the 1st and 2nd but like the 2nd was missing a gripping story and a reason to pick it up and play again with new decisions….but i guess thats just my opinion…i dont know i would like to see a new game that stayed true to the amazing writing of the 1st….yes it was over flowing with story but thats what made it great….it left soo many possibilities and its just shameful that those stories werent embraced….and thats really all i have to say….well…one more thing…i think they should go back and play their own game again to inspire them selves for fable 4 rather than just add new mechanics….which i do enjoy dont get me wrong….i just think the story in the last 2 were lacking severely

  • pmckeever21

Whether or not you like the 1st or 2nd or 3rd is your right to have that opinion, however one cannot disagree that the 1st Fable had something that the other games do not. Difficulty. You cannot deny that the 2nd and 3rd Fable were simply too easy. Whether or not you appreciate a game because of all the cosmetics they put in is up to you, All i’m saying is that since Fable 1, I have not played a challenging Fable game since and because of the difference you’re going to have a difference in fans. Lionhead has even told us that they’re moving away from hardcore to a more easier genre and thus we have the difference in fans. I personally liked the older days when games actually posed a challenge, nevertheless i’m still going to play Fable games because I like Albion too much to abandon based on the fact that it’s no longer “challenging.” Doesn’t mean i’ll like them as much as the first, but still appreciated

  • http://www.facebook.com/MandieMarie831 Amanda Harper

You need to focus on making a good quality fable 4. I have loved all the fable games, they differ from the original but I was still at gamestop on launch day picking up my pre-orders for both 2 and 3, because they were still really good.
Fable 2 and 3 lacked good endings though. Shooting lucian, the crawler thing, bad boss endings big time, but I had fun getting there.

Both my brother and I are huge fable fans, but we have been playing since day 1, and are really disappointed with that has been going on in the franchise.
The journey just looks lame and neither my brother or I will buy it. And hero’s just seems kinda lame as well and nothing more than an attempt to get more money off the franchise, but I must admit that hero’s looks more appealing to me than the journey.
I was going to buy the journey just because I love fable, until it was announced as kinect only.
I am really disappointed that lionhead is basically ignoring a lot of what their fans say.

fable the lost chapters was one of the best games they have made they should just remake it with better graphics like you said but i did like fable 3 alot but the campaign was over to quickly and the side missions was not that good. what they should do is continue the games from each other they have linked together but they should just continue them plus fable the journey what were you thinking people on kinect seriosley! im a big fable fan i have all of the games and i have bought all the DLC for them and now i have to go out and buy kinect for it not gonna happen they should just keep it how it is not with kinect, kinect is not meant for games like fable!!!If you would like to contact me about trying to resolve this issue between fable the journey this is my email: jasoncassar15@hotmail.co.uk

Listening to this debate angers me!
Fable I, TLC, II and III are all perfectly good games!
Your a REAL fan, if you like all games.
Lionhead are messing the franchise now with Heros and The Journey.
We want Fable IV damn it! Thanks Peter Molyneux for leaving a burning building
to save YOURSELF! Sorry Peter, not trying to offend! But still, give us the 15 age rated game!
Not Pegi damn 3! All in favour, press Like.

i was thinking to myself that this looks like an awesome party game, but i feel the desire to throw one out there too.

    Fable Legends (lol)
a gathering of heroes from all over the fable universe, transcending time and space to duel in arenas, facing challenges, enemies, special tasks (like chariot racing) and even each other.
load it with unlockables too, like playable characters and a slew of weapons and enhancements
at first you’d only have the protagonists at your disposal, but later on you can unlock allies, companions and even villains! how great would it be to take on a dragon in the arena as the Jack Of Blades, or ride around a flaming course with Thunder, then throw Reaver into an archery competition and round it all off with a gladiator style duel between The Oakvale Hero and his future descendent plus dog?

it would dig into every piece of Fable Lore and give everyone something fun to do with their free time.

well just throwing that out there.

  • http://www.facebook.com/Deejay10K Daniel Hedger

i almost forgot, because it would be a descendent of an RPG, level ups, gold and all that jazz would be important, and while you’re waiting in the Lobbies for games to finish, playing some Coin Golf wouldn’t go astray either. personally i’d just be looking forward to smashing huuuuuuuge groups of Hobbes with my mates as a rag tag assortment of heroes and villains from all over the universe.

    I think it looks kind of fun. Kind of like Gauntlet meets the lego games meets Fable. I’d be willing to give it a try. Fable 2 will always be my favorite Fable though :) The story was leaps and bounds better then 3 and I’m sure will still be better than “4″. I have yet to try 1 -.-;;

This looks like a great and simple game for children. Although I’m a little disappointed at the fact that I don’t get to play an RPG a little more serious with actual blood etc. this will certainly be fun to play with my 8 year old son. It looks like a great game to interest a younger audience. The art style although a little childish is nice and I like the way you stuck to the Fable 2 characters. Awesome. Hopefully you’ll think about making a Fable TLC HD remake for the PC at some point.

I loved fable 1 the boss was amazing hard and cool to look at. fable 2 boss was so bad it was amazing all you do is shoot the guy and if you don’t the other guy does it for you. fable 3 boss was better then number 2 not as good as jack of blades from number 1 though.

  • Harry Oddie

They better make Fable IV the greatest game of 2012 – 2013 because I don’t want the Fable Franchise as PEGI 3!
Come on people! This ain’t a kids game! Its an adult one! I’m not having that in Fable, the game with gambling,
bigamy, marriage and murder! Its the best RPG series yet, and now its at a low point now Peter Molyneux left!

This is actually pretty cool, it may not really be a Fable game, but it’s one you can play with friends just to have fun, and they look adorable as puppets XD I actually haven’t played the first Fable game, because when I got into Fable, it wasn’t sold in stores anymore, and I can’t just ask my parents to borrow their credit card to buy it online at the moment. Even so, I think Fable is an amazing series, and really hope they make more of them, but I agree that they shouldn’t go any farther into the future. I think it would be cool if they did a game in between 1 and 2, a game between 2 and 3 (still played as Sparrow as he/she rises to the throne of Albion) and maybe one where you get to play as the Prince/Princess from Fable 3 as a child, or something like that.

  • http://www.facebook.com/Adriex Logan Bannigan

Now now, as much as I’d complain about the other Fable’s I have no Real complaints here. You guys wanna make an off-side branch go ahead. It isn’t conflicting with the real series or making a block in the original story so its all good to me. Just for the love of god, go back and fix the normal series after this maybe?

  • http://www.facebook.com/Adriex Logan Bannigan

eh, guess i have to address this. You don’t have to release the SAME FABLE to make a game comparable to fable 1. I mean christ people, that’s a terrible excuse for a point.  You look at oblivion, i loved it. i would compare skyrim to oblivion though, and though it felt different and such, with the logic you are using i should hate skyrim. but i dont. they didnt pull of some big new direction they Expanded their current horizon. upped their bar. dont give me crap about ‘another fable like fable 1 would stagnate’. you distrust the power of creativity. Remember in art, you can do bloody anything.. With anything. blank canvas. So take that game, and make it what was great from fable 1 and more. Just do it.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jacob-Thornton/1532540207 Jacob Thornton

Fable two and Fable three are not Fable. They’re set in the same Fable world and are based off the same Fable lore but they share very little else in common with the original. Combat, quests, items, and equipment all had been changed. They were made not for the people who enjoyed the first installment but for a whole new audience. Number two was a terrible, glitch filled game that had one of the worst endings ever and the third was little better. If Lionhead makes a fourth game I would want them to go back to their roots and finally make good on the promises they made for the first game, and if you don’t know what those promises were you’re not a true fan.

    • Cody Liebold

So getting the choice to kill your sister for a sword is a better ending than fable 2′s

I have enjoyed the entire fable series so far and am actually looking forward to Fable Heroes because lets face it, its an arcade downloadable game. It sounds interesting and looks fun and cute, and yes even though it kinda is going away from the true nature of fable, it still looks interesting. Yes Fable: The Lost Chapters was a great Fable game, and each Fable game after each other has changed certain things but who would want to play the same game over and over again. yes fable: tlc was pretty much perfect, fable 2 was good and interesting, and while fable 3 was not as long, didn’t have bosses you (as was said earlier) “cared about”, they can’t just keep pumping out the same game over and over again. It wouldn’t do well, well I don’t think so anyway.

    But to each their own.

Would you bring this to steam. Cool little minigame.

  • Max Allen

i dont know about anyone else but what i loved about the first fable is how powerful you could seem by becoming a large hero that would stand out with either a glow about them and a halo or an evil mist and great big horns and how you could just think to yourself “hmm you know what im going to change myself because i feel like i want to be evil now” or “im tired of that im going to try to be good” it added a dynamic that was original to fable and made it stand out as a game/series  i mean i love the idea of the hard choices that test how moral you are but the morality shouldnt be tested only on the questline. i think it would be better if you could dictate how you character would be over time based on all the things youd do and please please bring back the dynamic changes to your appearance none of this “extreme morph” *cough* stuff to be quite honest it was boring having some faded wings on my back when an attack was charged. i just felt that fable 3 had a good storyline that could have been better if it felt a little less rushed and a disappointing ending but in all in was an engaging storyline after it was over though it just seemed a bit boring and a bit of a rehash of fable 2 just with the coolest start menu to date and a “more realistic accessibility” in regards to the menus in shops and people etc.

Personally, I wouldnt mind seeing an updated version of TLC. This is purely for personal reasons. I loved the game and my 360 dosnt always like to play original xbox games so a 360 port and update would be great for me. That being said I also think that a port could be a good tool to widen the fan-base. Not everyone is able to get TLC, I know I had to hunt for ages to find it, so a re-release would help those people who may feel they are missing part of the story line. It has as much potantial to do good as it does bad. Loving the original as I do, I enjoyed they way the game has evolved and changed, without these changes it would be just a third person copy of the Elder Scrolls without the movement of lands. It does the game good and makes it stand out. And though I admit, hearing about The Journey did not have me jumping for joy, I will enjoy it, and this, Fable Heros, I think it sounds very interesting and I look forward to playing this cute little game.

I agree in the fact that Lionhead have disappointed me with such a lack of ideas and creative storylines, from the quality of the original Fable to this, an arcade game which has had near enough no thought put into it! You really need to bring back amazing quality and storylines like Fable TLC and the original game or else you will be losing a lot of fans… I am a HUGE fan but if it continues heading down hill like this I will lose all interest in Fable and Lionhead studios all together. Please start paying attention to your fans and take action on what they say…

I, being a hardcore Fable fan, think this is fairly adorable.  I quite like the idea (not only because it’s cute, but it also seems to have a playful game style and the designs are nice).  Those who are whining that “this isn’t Fable at all” will have to realize that, while also trying to cater to other type of gamers and different age groups, the Fable series is going to go through major transitions (especially since Molyneux quit).  And though I agree with the fact that they should have a bit more focus on what their original and already estensive fanbase are saying, they need to adapt in order to gather more fans and keep the series alive.  Just look at the Journey–it’s obvious they’re trying to keep up with the new technology and appeal to those who use the Kinect.  It’s not a personal assault on original fans, they just want to appeal to more people.  And none of these are Fable 4–Fable 4 will probably be like the other three or (hopefully) a combination of them.  It’s not like they’re going to bring out fable 4 and suddenly say, “srry, guys, it’s a shooter now, LOL”.  They’ll keep the playing style they have had since Fable I if they want to keep their fans.

There’s also the fact that the people who made these games wanted to try something new for the Fable Universe.  To put a spin on it all their own in a popular gaming series and make something they love come to life (so to speak).  So before you decide to open your mouth, remember that this is someone’s brainchild.  How would you feel if you put time and hard work into an idea and, before it’s even out, people are just saying, “Gawd, this sucks sh**.” ? Basically–if you don’t have significant critiques that will help better the game, please shut your trap.

And to those comments below talking about who’s considered a “Fable fan”– bravo for trying to shame someone with an opinion different than yours.  While adoring the original Fable myself, I can understand why someone would prefer one of the other games.  There are things from each game that I quite like, and other things that I might despise (for instance, I absolutely HATED those gauntlets in Fable III).  That doesn’t mean they aren’t apart of the Fable fandom.  Fable fans should not only appreciate the games but also the Fable world itself–the different characters, plots, the lore and quirky humour. It’s childish to think that there’s one right way of being a fan.  Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion about the Fable series and if you don’t like it, ignore it, or at least be polite when stating how you disagree.

I like the idea of that as long as they keep the same engine the game ran on. The engine in fable 2 and 3 kinda suck. I don’t mind it I’ll still play the games but It does not belong in a remastered Fable 1/TLC they need to keep the old one.

Man lionhead studios, is an epic fail they had a hit or 2 spent all their money alreay and can’t afford proper technology and updates to fix any glitches or problems that need smoothed out. forget about it guys… all the falble games are screwey when it comes to glitches its never gonna go your way. they were only winning in giving you the ranchy ability to have sex and make babies theres no other game that has been able to give you that to you as well as some the fable games have. Gays still can’t procreate there was adoption big woop. Its a flop. Lets just forget about the fantasy of someone making it possible to feel real life in a game and go back to having some epic fun. Saints row the third is a million times beter they were just missing the ability to have some partner to have some sex with and make babies with. BOO lionhead studios I would rather buy donkey kong.

This is a fun prequel, I love playing as Jack! But I have one question: How do I turn on Big Heads mode?

You need to set it settings in the game!
